Southwest Florida International Airport

Serving more than 8 million passengers in 2007, Southwest Florida International Airport is an airport beginning its ascent  to be another one of Florida’s large airports.  With this increased passenger movement, the airport wanted to upgrade their video surveillance and recording ability.

The project consisted of converting the 168 cameras from VCR recording to new digital technology.  The system that was installed by Hypower was NICE.  All analog cameras were converted to digital using NICE encoders.  The digital signals were then recorded on two recorders with separate storage units.  All software and hardware were installed and provided by Hypower.
