MIA - Miami International Airport
With over 42 million national and international travelers moving in and about Miami International Airport in 2008, security is a concern. The Transportation Security Administration is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people and commerce moving through the transportation industry including air, sea, land, and rail.
The Transportation Security Administration tasked Hypower with designing an integrated camera system that would observe the movement throughout the concourses the TSA is responsible for. Installing 128 Pelco cameras in conduit was accomplished with minimal disruption to travelers and airport workers while being completed during normal business hours. Cables were tested and certified; cameras were installed, tested, aimed, and focused based on the design criteria.
